Veggefjorden Ringvassøya

Friday 25.07.08

15:30 The ferry departs from Mikkelvik (Mariagård) for Bromnes. 
The first stretch starts immediately after arriving Bromnes at 15:45. 
A break with a fire in Toftefjorden. We will spend the night in Dåfjord (in a house).

Saturday 26.07.08
 09:00 The 2nd stretch starts at the ferry stop, Mikkelvik. Lunch in Veggefjorden.
Approx. 18:00 Arrival at the shop in Dåfjord. (End of the 2nd stretch).
Approx. 19:30 warm meals for sale in the youth hall. . 
Spending the night in a house where there are showers and drying

Sunday 27.07.08
09:00 Departure the 3rd stretch from the shop in Dåfjord.
Lunch at Solvatnet.
Approx. 15:00 Arrival Kopperelv (the end of the 3rd stretch).
No showers here.
Stop in Tromsø by the memorial approx. 18:00.
Drive to Furuflaten to spend the night at the school there.

Monday 28.07.08
08:30 The bus departs from the school. Pack a big lunch
09:00 Departure 4th stretch from Lyngseidet.
Approx. 19:00 Arrival Furuflaten (the end of the 4th stretch)

You may use the showers and buy dinner. In the evening we move to Manndalen. (The school)

Tuesday 29.07.08
08:20 Bus from the school in Manndalen to Revdalen   (Bus fare: 30 kr)
09:00 The 5th stretch starts at Revdalen. (We visit the ”Hotel Savoy”)
Approx. 15:00 Arrival Manndalen (the end of the 5th stretch)
You may use the showers and buy dinner.  

Wednesday 30.07.08
11:00 Memorial at the cemetery. Afterwards we stop at the shop to buy what we need for the overnight-trip. (Remember to bring enough food)

14:00 We drive the cars to Helligskogen and leave them there. There will be a bus there at approx. 15:00 to take the drivers back to the school in Manndalen.

1600 departure from the school and start walking from the summer farm.  Then we will head for the mountain before we stop for the night. (About 3 or 4 hours of walking) We will be spending 2 nights outdoors on this stretch. Everybody needs to have their own tents.

Thursday 31.07.08
 0900Start from the campsite to Helligskogen (Skibotn)
We spend the nights in the tents we brought.

Saturday 2.08.08
0830     Start from Galgo.
1630     Boat over Kilpisjarvi.
Approx. 1800    The final gathering in Helligskogen.
Diplomas and badges will be handed out.
